Impressions and conclusions:- The Bosch GSM509 is a low cost dual band phone (900/1800MHz).
- The used Infineon chipset, the same used in the Sagem MC820, is quite old (80C166 16 bit CISC). Unlike the Sagem the Bosch has a long standby time.
- The menu structure is not very clear and not intuinitive.
- The phone is quite large and heavy (fisrt impression: “looks like a diga”)
- One PCB solution
- It is hard to open the battery compartment.
- Nice small back-end HF amplifiers are used, why is the phone so big?
