Impressions and conclusions:

  • The M-serie has a discrete receiver and transimtter, however still Motorola has managed to implement this dual band phone on a single PCB.
  • Motorola does not use it’s own M-core in this Phone.
  • TI or Motorola has managed to port the 68000 code to this TI core, even the engineering stuff is still there.
  • The receiver consists of two seperate receiver paths, one 900 and one 1800MHz path. The receiver has been built according to the Superhet receiver principle.
  • Expensive sheilding has been used.
